One of the things I did with the money my dear neighbour gave me, was buy lunch on the way home at one of those service center places just off the motorway. Such a treat for me & I treasure those now. 

Funny how we can go from Princess to pauper in life & still function isn’t it 😂 

I found this interesting stand in the complex. Time to plan my next Big journey😉

It really is so great to have these free resources to help with planning. They used to be something I’d have to buy if I didn’t Belong to the Automobile Association or AA as we call them. I usually use an app to plan the specifics of a trip but am now expanding that so as to fully grasp what an area has to offer. Previously I’ve missed out on seeing some really good things & don’t want to do that again.

 When I lived in Taupo many moons ago, I used to drive past this village on my way north or south. It’s set back of the road, so it’s not very visible. Today I decided to stop in for a looksee, to see what I could see. It was like stepping back in time, where time is relative & the schedule starts when  the residents get up. A wee peep, looking for shot guns 😂  A school in times past? A Sad Day

Today I advertised Steamin Along for sale. It took me hours to manually put in all the details & I had a lot of trouble adding the photos to the ad. I’m not sure why but Trademe would only let me upload a few & I can’t find a way to edit it. I’m wondering if it’s because it’s listed as a classified ad rather than an auction.  https://www.trademe.co.nz/trade-me-motors/caravans-motorhomes/motorhomes/5-59-metres/auction-3250669219.htm Anyone who knows the answer gets a cyber chocolate fish. Anyhow I consoled myself with a walk at lunchtime…very bad idea when you walk past a bakery 😂 So I bought the equivalent of a sally lunn bun, now called a Boston bun because of the shape I’m told. It’s a childhood memory for me, of a special treat we had as a family from time to time. No idea of the sized pieces a family of 9 would get 😂 but I bet it wasn’t much. Getting up close & personal

 Today’s the day! Such a surprise to me when my son told me he was willing & had time to apply the wonderful sign to my truck, made for me by Cairns Printing in Australia.  Jasmine nailed the brief I had given her & went above & beyond what I had asked for. In person, if I can call it that, the sign is fantastic! I’m thrilled to bits with it 🤩 The colours are great, the size is perfect & the layers make it look 3D. It represents the fact that I’m a steampunk. Anyway, enough with the chat, let’s get to the pics! I know you’ve all been waiting patiently for this moment. Now that you’ve perfected that skill, as have I, without further ado, the procedure, as recorded by my grandson. My daughter in law helped with the installation as well. These guys are such a blessing to my life!  Beginning cleaning the area. Had to be pristine. That part took about an hour.
