Transition Day

Yesterday began the transition between being a traveller & a land based mammal. No, one did not go out in search of food in the suburbs 😂 The day began at 7.30am , with a trip to the dump station, as per usual every 3-4 days, & then onwards steed to the property managers office on the edge of the township. Thankfully I’m familiar with the older parts of the city, from having lived here 10 or so years ago, & then more years prior, having brought up my two sons, who were born here.

A little warm fuzzy for my day of cleaning said throne, the day before

After the jubilant key ceremony, & signing away ones life for half a year, it was onward to the new premises, being led by the infamous Mrs Google, who doesn’t seem to have as hood a grasp on the place as moi. A frustrating journey indeed, taking the fourth exit of the roundabout, only to return to the same road, where there actually isn’t the left turning lane required 🤦‍♀️ But we got there in the end! That’s the main thing, isn’t it. The scenic routes are more interesting anyway 😂

Memories of hot air balloons over the Waikato. The inspiration for my experience

The day of unpacking the steed began at approximately 9am & ended at 3pm. I was incredibly surprised at just how much the steed can pack away into her saddlebags! In fact, the tiny unit is now overflowing with creative makings 🤣

Thankfully the fridge space looks like it will take a cold hearted beast of magnitude, but perhaps not the OCD cleaning of clothes mechanism 🤦‍♀️ We will indeed see, when it turns up, later in the morning light. One is very thankful for the kind hearted ladies & gentlemen, who are helping with this process. 🤗 🧁 🍷 🍫 💐

Best dump station views 😂

There was the mammoth task of vacuuming the builders dust yesterday too, so we are now all squeaky clean, apart from the overhead cupboards, that only a giant of 6’5 could reach 😂 How wonderful to have a brand new renovation to move into! 🤩 White on white, with a navy blue carpet. No dust allergens here 🥰

Neighbours were met, vittals consumed, & parking entered into, on the most difficult of curved, parallel  spaces. There is another angle park free I spy! It shall be utilised today, with permission from its owner, of course.

It appears there are a number of tenants moving in, so one is assuming the property managers are cleaning up the community in said square of little boxes. Also pets! Apparently around 4 cats exist, in hiding of course, you understand. Hoomans will be hoomans after all 😉
