Kamo to Waipu
I’m heading south now, after doing a quick bit of sewing for the festival I’m going to.
One of the things I’ve discovered is that it’s stressful sewing for an event right up to the last minute. I’m a person who likes to be organised, to avoid that, so I take time out after peopling, to get that done. It’s quite tiring driving a truck too, as I have to be on my game π― of the time, to avoid accidents. So I need time to rest & regroup after each leg of the journey. I’m doing better at my peopling now, I think π€
Today life happened! The fridge went on strike & refused to work, & after multiple attempts, I rang a specialist fridge technician for advice. The dear man fitted me in late in the day, & then brought my appointment forward, & she’s her usual frigid self again π So thankful! So go to see Duwayne at Chill Out Refrigeration, in Parua Bay, if you want a quality job. He’s excellent.
So I had lunch at Solomons Point in Parua Bay, which I never would have done, had Miss stubborn been working properly. Blessings in every corner of the country! She needed a new striker...or something electronic like that. Ignition was fine, & voltage, but she wouldn’t connect to the gas, a pretty necessary function when I’m freedom camping.
A very pretty Bay Parua Bay
Clear water & oysters growing π
Waipu Cove
Then it was off to Waipu town & the cove, for a looksee, before heading to play with some friends & their alpacas. I want one ! Huge big doe like eyes & the softest wool I’ve ever touched. Save me a scarf Jack boy. He’s my fave π₯° Such a gentleman when I fed him, Jet black & so friendly. I felt an affinity with him straight away. Alpha male stud they said, top hat & tails I said. And don’t forget his cane & spats. Loved that boy π¦
Gentle Jack Black
He can ride up front with me, can’t he? He’s only 6’ tall & I have two beds. I’m sure I can make it work π
And his lady friends, who are so gentle! π
